KPEFA Kohat initiated a plantation drive to mark the beginning of spring
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation Academy (KPEFA) Kohat initiated a plantation drive on March 01, 2023, to mark the beginning of spring and promote a "Clean and Green Pakistan." The Director KPEFA, Ms. Henna Karamat, and her team led the initiative, which saw the participation of students from various institutions. The plantation drive was accompanied by an awareness session, aimed at educating the youth of Kohat on the importance of a healthy and green Pakistan in the face of adverse climate change. The session highlighted the role of trees in mitigating the effects of climate change, promoting biodiversity, and creating a healthy environment for all living beings. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Henna Karamat emphasized the importance of such initiatives to create a sustainable future for Pakistan. She stated that KPEFA is committed to promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development in the province. She further added that KPEFA has been taking various initiatives to promote a clean and green Pakistan and engage the youth in environmental conservation activities. The plantation drive saw the planting of various species of trees, including fruit-bearing trees and ornamental plants. The students were actively involved in the planting process and were educated on the proper techniques of tree planting and care. Such initiatives are crucial in creating a healthy and green Pakistan in the era of adverse climate change. Trees play a vital role in mitigating the effects of climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide, reducing the effects of air pollution, and providing a habitat for biodiversity. A healthy and green environment is essential for human health, well-being, and sustainable development. KPEFA's plantation drive is an excellent example of how environmental conservation and sustainable development can be achieved through collective efforts. It is hoped that such initiatives will continue to promote a clean and green Pakistan and engage the youth in environmental conservation activities.
